Nostalgia + Goop = Good times
I am now old enough to experience nostalgia. It's kind of an interesting (and fun) feeling - it's a bond to the past, and especially with television, allows you to connect with people you might not have anything in common with otherwise.
There's the Simpson's (not that I have much nostalgia for it, the program being one of the many things which was forbidden to me growing up - something which I lament, as it estranges me from my generation). There's Monty Python (for geeks, like me). There's SCTV (I love Andrea Martin!) And then, there's "You Can't do that on Television". Oh, man - does that bring up memories...
...and I mean "bring up" - man, what is it with me and vomit??! Just making gagging sounds is enough to get me gagging too.
But this show was fun. A lot of fun. And Canadian (well, for the most part). Nickelodian got it's trademark sliming from here (anyone remember "NickGames" - I think it was called that - where you had four teams competing in an arena or prizes). Physical comedy from young adults/ preteens is always a hoot.
hehe, green slime... how do they make it? I DON'T KNOW - but I'll bet water's involved.
*opens umbrella and cringes under it*
